  • A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) has a Master’s degree and extensive clinical training in order to effectively diagnose and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • No, you do not need a referral. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s communication skills, please get in touch.

  • We work with children from 18 months up to 12 years of age.

  • Early intervention leads to the best outcomes. If you have any concerns about your child’s speech, language, or communication skills, please get in touch. We can provide general information and determine if an assessment is warranted based on your concerns, your child’s age, and what is considered developmentally appropriate.

  • We support children with receptive and expressive language skills, articulation (speech sound production), Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), stuttering, autism and social communication skills, selective mutism, and phonological awareness (pre-literacy) skills.

  • For families in Calgary, sessions can take place in your home or via teletherapy. For families outside of Calgary, sessions take place via teletherapy exclusively.

  • Mileage is determined on a case by case basis. I am located in the NW of Calgary. Families located nearby will not be charged mileage. Families located outside of NW Calgary should get in touch so that we can determine what makes sense based on driving distance.

  • The current rate is $150 per hour for an assessment or therapy session. Indirect time (e.g., report writing, FSCD documentation) is also billed at $150 per hour.

  • In-person sessions are 60 minutes which includes direct therapy, parent coaching, and review of strategies/home practice. Teletherapy sessions are 30 minutes or 60 minutes.

  • The frequency of sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. During our initial visit, we will work together to determine goals and a treatment plan that works for your child and family.

  • No. After receiving payment, we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage and the requirements for reimbursement.

  • Yes! We are happy to support families with FSCD contracts. Please note that our rate is slightly higher than what FSCD reimburses.
